應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生求職英語面試的三大誤區(qū)：
誤區(qū)一：介紹自己，事無巨細(xì)
“Now， tell us something about yourself.”這是面試的時候大家普遍會被問到的一個常規(guī)問題，看似簡單卻不好回答。很多人甚至?xí)䦶淖约旱某錾刂v起，其實(shí)這是很沒有必要的。我們可以揣摩一下面試官問這個問題的原因吧。沒有人真正對你在什么地方出生感興趣，他們真正感興趣的是你的專業(yè)背景和你的工作經(jīng)歷�？脊倨鋵�(shí)是在問你“Why should I hire you?”初出茅廬的你如果沒有什么工作經(jīng)歷，不妨多描述一下自己在專業(yè)上的造詣——這才是考官感興趣的“硬件”;如果這方面不是很突出，則應(yīng)該多描述一下自己“軟件”，如自己的學(xué)習(xí)能力，對于這個行業(yè)的激情等。語言要力求簡潔，圍繞著“why should you hire me ”這個中心來說，要給人留下干練的感覺。舉個例子，應(yīng)聘教師職位你可以說:”Majoring in English and being passionate about education, I choose teaching as my career. I’ve got a lot making of a good teacher. First, I am good at communicating with people…”
誤區(qū)二：問及缺點(diǎn)，閃爍其詞
“What is your greatest weakness?”
當(dāng)被問及你的缺點(diǎn)是什么的時候，如何應(yīng)對?這也算是一個棘手的“常規(guī)問題”。“金無足赤，人無完人”，每個人都有自己的缺點(diǎn)，有很多缺點(diǎn)是我們自己很清楚的，也有一些是我們自己都不自知的。究竟是如實(shí)作答還是避重就輕?如果如實(shí)作答，則擔(dān)心用人單位會因此將自己拒之門外，因此很多人就選擇避重就輕。提前想好了很多看似很“圓滑”的答案。比如：“The greatest weakness that I have is that I am always a perfectionist.”我最大的缺點(diǎn)就是太追求完美。這聽起來這似乎是一個很討巧的答案，其實(shí)對你求職是不利的，一是因?yàn)橄氤鲞@個“討巧”答案的必定不止你一個人，二是因?yàn)檫@個答案會讓你顯得比較“滑頭”。即使這是真的，對方也會覺得你似乎沒有能力授權(quán)給他人。對付這個問題，可事先針對你所申請的`這個職位特點(diǎn)精心設(shè)計好一個答案——即一個“非常切合工作實(shí)際，可以被容忍，可以被改正”的缺點(diǎn)。這個缺點(diǎn)跟工作有關(guān)、但又不會妨礙你行使工作職責(zé)。記住，這個缺點(diǎn)一定是建立在你好的“基本面”之上的。描述人的缺點(diǎn)的詞很多，比如lack of passion, lack of the sense of responsibility, lack self-discipline, lack of confidence, not well organized, not punctual, not easy going, being arrogant, being self-centered, being over careful……有些缺點(diǎn)在一些職位中是致命的，有些則不是，挑自己身上存在，但是與該職位不大相關(guān)的缺點(diǎn)去說自然就是最有策略的做法了。比如，你去應(yīng)聘一個秘書職位，你就可以講講自己“行動力雖然很強(qiáng)，但是計劃的能力卻不強(qiáng)”，因?yàn)槊貢毼桓⒅貓?zhí)行力，處理細(xì)事是秘書職責(zé)的首要，全局計劃的能力缺乏對秘書并不構(gòu)成致命缺點(diǎn)。”Though I am really good at carrying out the plans, I must admit that sometimes I stick myself into the details and fail to see the whole picture. Well, I’ve realized that and I am just trying to improve it. ”
誤區(qū)三：談到薪水，缺乏策略
在面試中，薪水也是必須談的問題，當(dāng)面試官問道“Let’s talk about salary. What are you looking for?”，該如何回答呢?很多求職者要么回答得太快，太直接，要么就是不敢作答，生怕自己的要價嚇跑了雇主。在面試之前你必須了解你所在的行業(yè)的平均薪水，回答這個問題才能做到“有底氣”。要注意兩條，首先，不要急于作答，也就是說考官主動問起你的薪水期待，不要主動挑起這個話題，否則會給人留下你一心只看往錢看的印象，也容易過早暴露你的底牌;第二不要說得太多，一句“well, that’s something I’ve thought long and hard about and I think someone with my experience should get between X & Y。”就夠了�；蛘哒f“I am looking for my first job, so what I’m more interested is what the position can offer my career。”這顯示了新人應(yīng)有的態(tài)度。當(dāng)然，如果你是那種真的很稀缺的人才，則不妨痛快直接地說出你的期許。”100,000 a month is what I am expecting. Trust me, I will make your money worth!” 當(dāng)然，這種自信不是每個人都能有的，敢這么說的人須有寡才!

Hello everyone, my name is Lee. This is really a great honor to have this opportunity, and I believe I can make good performance today. Now I will introduce myself briefly. I am 20 years old，born in Guangdong province, south of China, and I am a senior student at Guangdong **University. My major is English. And I will receive my bachelor degree after my graduation in June. In the past four years, I spent most of my time on study. I passed CET4 and CET6 with a ease and acquired basic theoretical and practical knowledge of Language. Besides, I have attended several Speech competition held in Beijing, which really showed our professional advantages. I have taken a tour to some big factories and companies, through which I got a deep understanding of English for application. Compared to developed countries, unfortunately, although we have made extraordinary progress since 1998, our packaging industry is still underdeveloped, messy and unstable, and the situation of employees in the field is awkward. But I have full confidence in its bright future if only our economy can be kept at the growth pace still. I guess you may be interested in why I choose this job. I would like to tell you that this job is one of my lifelong goals. If I can work here, I will work hard. As to my character, I cannot describe it well, but I know I am optimistic and confident. Sometimes I prefer to stay alone, reading and listening to the music, but I am not lonely, for I like to chat with my classmates about almost everything. My favorite pastime is to play volleyball, to play cards or to surf online. From life at university, I learn how to balance study and entertainment.
