A case in point is the long holiday such as the National Day, in which people can spend one week or so enjoying themselves in different ways, especially going shopping and traveling. It has been agreed that the long holiday may bring much more benefit to both the customer and the businessmen.
On the other hand, however, the long holiday also brings much expectable problems to the society. First, too many visitors in the long holidays have caused the strain in traffic. Second, the visitors like to go to the well-known interesting places, which may lead to the serious damage to the nature and the scene.
In my view, people need such long holidays, and what really matters is how to guide people in their entertainment. For example, it is advisable that people try to avoid going shopping or traveling in the rush days. Anyway, the long holiday is a good idea of satisfying both the people and the merchants.

大約五年前，我國(guó)政府做了一個(gè)決定—取消黃金假期，黃金假期是勞動(dòng)者的長(zhǎng)假期。這樣的決定已經(jīng)引起了大眾的熱議。長(zhǎng)假期讓人們有時(shí)間休息，然而長(zhǎng)假期也有不好。
On the one hand, long holidays provides the time for working people to go home and stay with family. Most people go to work far away from their homes, the far distance causes them lack of enough time to visit parents on weekends. So if they want to spend time with family, long holidays will be needed. Chinese tradition pays special attention to the family union, the long days of vacation give people the chance to stay with family.

On the other hand, long holidays provides the time for people relax and go for travel, the flooded with tourists in the scenic sites and spots damage the preservation of historic things. We see from the news that when holiday comes, the famous tourist site are full of people, the purpose of enjoying the scenery is being missed, we only see numerous heads.
另一方面，長(zhǎng)假期給予了人們時(shí)間放松和旅行，成群的人在景區(qū)的擁擠破壞了歷史文物。我們從新聞上看到當(dāng)假期到來(lái)的時(shí)候，出名的景區(qū)人滿為患，欣賞風(fēng)景的目的沒(méi)了，我們只看到無(wú)數(shù)的人頭。
Though long holiday have pros and cons, I believe that long vacation is better than short vacation, people need to relax from long time’s work.
